As a Software Engineering Manager at a TMS (Transport Management System) SaaS company serving enterprise and mid-market clients across the APAC region, I lead multi-country engineering teams (Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines) to deliver high-performance, fault-tolerant systems built to handle high volumes of daily deliveries.

I work closely with tech leads to guide product delivery, lead team operations, mentor engineers, and facilitate Agile/Scrum processes. I collaborate cross-functionally with product, CX, and business teams to ensure smooth system integrations and alignment with business goals. These efforts are especially critical in the complex logistics environment we support.

I led the successful ISO 27001 certification initiative, embedding security and compliance into our engineering workflows. The systems we build are designed for scalability and reliability, with minimal fault tolerance, to support real-time logistics operations.

One of my key contributions was solving large-scale routing and fleet optimization challenges. We develop a route engine in Java with Jsprit Library, combining K-Means clustering, K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and heuristic algorithms to manage constraints such as time windows, capacities, and dynamic rerouting. This improved delivery accuracy, reduced operational costs, and increased client satisfaction.

I also initiated the exploration of Gemini AI LLM, leading early efforts to integrate intelligent automation into our platform using Python. This included AI agents and guardrails to improve adaptability and operational efficiency. While the team led the implementation, I remained actively involved in shaping direction and ensuring it aligned with our goals for scalability and reliability.

I guide the team not only by encouraging them to grow, but also by helping them push past uncertainty when challenges feel overwhelming, and stay grounded when confidence runs high.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, I designed and developed robust, scalable solutions for a high-traffic Learning Management System (LMS), supporting thousands of simultaneous users across Singapore and other APAC markets.

I was responsible for both frontend and backend development, with a strong focus on performance optimization and code quality. One of my key contributions was leading a major refactoring initiative and migrating the codebase from CodeIgniter to Laravel. This significantly improved code maintainability, developer experience, and enabled faster feature delivery.

I also contributed to the development of video and image-based learning features, allowing educators to incorporate multimedia content into lesson modules and assessments. This enhanced engagement and flexibility in delivering personalized learning experiences.

Working in a lean engineering team, I ensured the platform remained responsive and reliable under high load while introducing modern development practices and modular structure. My efforts directly contributed to improved system stability, faster development cycles, and increased user satisfaction.

After my promotion to Tech Lead, I supported the company through a rapid growth phase under the strong leadership of our founder. As the business evolved beyond launch, we scaled our platform to meet increasing B2B client demands, with a growing number of companies adopting the platform despite the global challenges during the COVID-19 period.

I led a team of six engineers to extend and maintain the core Laravel-based system while progressively modularizing components into microservices to improve scalability and development agility. I also implemented performance optimizations through database indexing, query tuning, and caching strategies to ensure the platform remained fast and responsive as usage grew.

Our architecture expanded to include services such as a Python-based chatbot, an in-house CRM system, and various internal tools tailored to business operations. We deepened our partnership with Huawei Cloud while continuing our engagement with Alibaba Cloud, optimizing infrastructure for cost and reliability.

I remained actively involved in architecture planning, cross-functional coordination, and mentoring engineers, ensuring our technical direction stayed aligned with evolving business needs. Beyond engineering, I was also involved in supporting the company’s presentations to potential investors, including venture capital firms. Through this experience, I gained valuable exposure to business strategy and investor communication, broadening my perspective beyond technology and deepening my understanding of how product and business connect.

At Papabili, a fast-paced B2B startup, I played a foundational role in building the company’s platform from scratch. I initiated the project by writing the first lines of code and led the design of the overall system architecture, tech stack, and infrastructure for backend, frontend, and mobile applications. I proposed React Native for the mobile apps with a Laravel-based monolithic stack with PostgreSQL and initially deployed the system on Alibaba Cloud.

I worked closely with the founder and stakeholders to translate business ideas into working software and led the product through to launch. I handled infrastructure setup, DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, and introduced Scrum-based workflows to support agile iteration and fast-paced delivery.

As the team expanded, I collaborated with four additional engineers, providing technical leadership and shared ownership of product delivery. My initiative in both engineering and infrastructure led to my certification as a Huawei Certified ICT Associate and my promotion to Tech Lead.

As a Software Engineer in a fast paced product team, I was involved in developing and maintaining over five in house web platforms across various business domains, including HRIS, Point of Sale (POS), B2B platforms, marketplace systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and job vacancy portals. Each project had unique business logic and architecture requirements, giving me the opportunity to design flexible backends and intuitive user experiences tailored to different industries.

Most of the platforms were built using Laravel and MySQL, and I was deeply involved in the full development cycle from gathering requirements and designing database schemas to implementing features, writing unit tests, and deploying to production. I also collaborated closely with designers, QA engineers, and product managers to ensure timely delivery and high quality output. This experience honed my adaptability and broadened my understanding of building scalable, reusable components across diverse web applications.

PT. Square Gate One provides solutions for both payment gateway and banking-related platforms. During my time there, I focused specifically on banking system projects. One of my key responsibilities was contributing as a Full Stack Engineer to the development of a web-based FSCM (Financial Supply Chain Management) internet banking platform (AksesBisnis BTPN Bank), supporting business clients in managing payments, collections, and reconciliations. The system was built using the Zend Framework and a SQL-based database. I was responsible for maintaining existing features, implementing system updates, and developing new functionality across both backend logic and user-facing components. The platform was integrated with the bank’s middleware systems, including message streams via Apache Kafka provided by the bank. We used Subversion (SVN) for version control throughout the development lifecycle.

Beyond development, I supported senior engineers in managing deployments and production rollouts in banking environments. These deployments were conducted in close coordination with engineers from the bank’s internal team and followed strict procedural and compliance standards. Rollouts were typically performed outside regular working hours, aligned with banking EOD (End of Day) schedules. This experience strengthened my attention to detail, sense of responsibility, and ability to deliver within regulated, high-stakes environments.

As a Back end Developer, I was responsible for creating the backend system of the official portal for the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries. Using CodeIgniter and MySQL, I developed core features, managed database interactions, and ensured API connectivity with a separately developed front end. I collaborated closely with external developers to deliver a stable and integrated platform that served both public and administrative users.

In addition to the government portal, I was also involved in the development of a hospital information system platform and several other web-based projects. These experiences expanded my understanding of domain-specific requirements, especially in terms of system reliability, data security, and user access control. I consistently focused on building clean and maintainable code while contributing to multiple stages of the development lifecycle, from design to deployment.

During my internship at Indosat Ooredoo, I worked as a Fullstack Developer Intern within the telecommunications industry. I developed an internal web application for mapping and analyzing the competitive landscape of telco products, supporting internal teams with market research and strategic positioning. The system was built using PHP and MySQL, with a focus on data accessibility, content manageability, and user-friendly presentation.

As a System Administrator Intern, I assisted in managing and maintaining several internal systems and basic server infrastructure. My responsibilities included monitoring system performance, performing routine maintenance, supporting user access and configuration, and helping ensure the availability of web-based services used by the agency. This role strengthened my foundational skills in system administration, server maintenance, and operational support in a government environment.
